David has made the shortlist of nominees in the Outstanding Drama Performance category at this year's National Television Awards for his role as the Doctor. He is up against some tough competition including his Doctor Who co star, the fantastic Catherine Tate, who has been nominated for her portrayal of Donna Noble.

Also nominated is Phillip Glenister of Ashes To Ashes and Alex Walkinshaw from The Bill.
Doctor Who is also nominated for Most Popular Drama.

i wish i'd been there, hoping to get tickets to see Love's Labour's Lost in october! :D fingers crossed they're not sold out yet :)
